In addition to this, Mike participates in Canucks for Kids and Special Olympics’ Sports Celebrities Festival. A proud father of two, Mike is also an angler, sports enthusiast and political junkie.

Sherry has an extensive educational background in leadership and the psychology of individuals, groups and organizations. She puts this training to use in leveraging and maximizing contributions for the greater good of organizations and their communities. She is a popular facilitator of groups on complex matters to bring about collaborative results with more cohesive organizations within an industry sector. Her work produces success with diverse stakeholders who desire to build coalitions and a collective voice to achieve strategic innovations with the commitment of all stakeholders. With a strong belief in the leadership quotient, Sherry coaches and develops leaders to take their organizations and teams to the next level.
Sherry is a popular speaker at conferences and industry events, and she brings new insights into understanding how people and organizations can achieve results together under the directives of change. One of her innovative topics is “Biopsychology and Managing Resistance to Change” bringing together her training in neuropsychology and experience as a change management specialist. She participates in industry panels and regional and national forums. Sherry is a chair with IAP2 Canada bridging research into the practice of organizations who undertake complex stakeholder engagement. Her speaking engagements include conferences and seminars in Canada, the US, Europe and Africa and organizations such as ACMP Global, IAP2 Global, the International Association of Management, and the Conference Board of Canada. She writes articles and books relevant to understanding how organizations and individuals can work together, pursue change and promote success.
Education can be a passive tool without applying what is learned to real-life messy situations. Sherry’s expertise provides organizations and individuals with the opportunity to actively learn and develop their skills and determine how to best transfer knowledge into practice to achieve desired results in chaotic environments. She builds education and training programs for higher education and industry and provides customized coaching and leadership seminars.
Sherry has extensive experience with both the profit and non-profit sectors. In addition to administrative and consulting roles in both sectors she has a long history of volunteer work in the not for profit sector. Sherry chaired the hospital-community liaison committee and on-air presentations for three years with the BC’s Children’s Hospital Miracle Network Telethon. In addition, she has participated as a coach and facilitator of non-profit societies seeking to develop their organizations through the Social Enterprises Heroes event. She has provided pro bono advisory services to non-profits and community organizations.
Ali believes in the power of resiliency; resilient teams are calm under pressure, confront challenges and difficulties with courage and optimism, adapt well to change, and proactively seek to improve. She focusses on working with leaders who want to build resiliency and invest in their people.

She has worked with numerous social and environmental impact organizations in cleantech, sustainability, education, tech, and international humanitarian action.
Ali serves as a Logistics Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy Primary Reserve.
Ali holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources (University of British Columbia), and has completed professional studies in Project Management (University of California, Irvine), Terrorism Studies (University of Maryland), and Middle East History (Tel Aviv University).
